At Beond, our 5-Phase treatment protocol "Insight Oriented Ibogaine" typically includes ibogaine therapy and represents an innovative and effective path to profound transformational life change for people struggling with chemical dependency, substance abuse and other behavioral conditions such as Depression, Anxiety, and PTSD — including people for whom conventional treatments have not been effective.
But getting access to effective treatment for addiction, severe trauma, and other conditions too often requires that you first have access to financial and social resources.
This means that members of underserved or marginalized communities — such as: Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC,) the LGBTQIA+ community, as well others — too often don’t get the opportunity to experience the benefits of ibogaine therapy administered in a clinical setting. This is true even though if you are a member of such a community, you know you may be more likely than average to be struggling with addiction and/or to have experienced severe trauma.
At Beond, we have always observed a commitment to anti-discrimination, which we strictly enforce. We train our staff to be respectful and understanding of all people, without limit; we hold our guests to a detailed code of conduct to help ensure the emotional safety of everyone on our campuses. This is because we understand that addiction and related conditions affect people of all backgrounds, ages, and stages of life, and we intend Beond to be a safe place that truly welcomes everyone.
So, when you come to Beond, you can feel safe to be who you are. We welcome you. But to feel safe here, you first have to get here.
Beond would like to help make our life-changing programs available to more people who might not otherwise have access to them.
So, we’re making two additional commitments:
Eligible candidates for Priority Placement include BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ individuals, People living with disabilities, Military Veterans who are facing financial strain, People who are homeless, and others who experience particularly challenging obstacles along their life path.
Anyone is eligible to apply for the Beond Access Scholarship, but members of the Priority Placement group who are facing financial hardship will be given prime consideration. Scholarship recipients will receive financial assistance in the form of a fee structure presented on a sliding scale. These reduced costs cover all services including
All costs associated with individualized treatment program at Beond are reduced or eliminated.
Beond does not limit the scope of individualized comprehensive treatment for guests who benefit from these programs, and participation in these programs is strictly confidential.
If you are a member of a marginalized community, we assure you: you're welcome at Beond. You are safe at Beond. And engaging with your unique life experience while you’re here — with your joys and your traumas, your hopes and your fears, your journey so far toward self-awareness — is what will make your Beond treatment successful. We hope you’ll bring your whole self to Beond. And, if you need the assistance of Priority Placement or the Beond Access Scholarship to get here, please let us know.
To apply for either of these programs, please complete the Beond Inquiry Form found via the "Speak to Us" page.
Please specify in the "Describe Your Current Situation" section that you are applying for the Priority Placement and/or the Beond Access Scholarship Program(s.)
An additional Special Programs Preliminary Application will be sent by your Beond Client Care Coordinator. You may apply for one or both.
In the Preliminary Application, we’ll ask you to tell us briefly about your reason for seeking treatment at Beond; your journey through treatment and recovery so far, and, if applicable, some of the ways in which your identity as a marginalized person has impacted your condition and treatment in the past.
Our team will respond with information about the Scholarship and will review your preliminary application. If you are selected for an interview, we will invite you to meet by video with a treatment coordinator and a member of our clinical staff to discuss your needs in more detail, as well as relevant financial constraints (and your presentation of evidence thereof) that may make you a candidate for sliding-scale financial assistance via the Beond Access Scholarship.
We welcome you, and everyone, to Beond.
